I love flavored coffees, but they are hard to justify in my budget at times. I do not use cream or sugar in my coffee so those creamers and syrups don't work for me either.
I tried putting a teaspoon of vanilla extract in my coffee pot decanter and then brewed a pot and it is good!!! I know that I have seen many different types of extracts, amaretto, chocolate, nut flavors to name a few. I like this idea as I can brew a different flavor every day, and I can pick up a different flavor as I come across them :D :D :D

Here are a few recipes - they all have creamer in though.

Each variation will yield about 20 cups. Mix ingredients in blender. Stir 2 rounded teaspoons into each cup of hot water. Enjoy

Orange Flavored Coffee

½ cup instant coffee, ¾ cup sugar, ½ cup powdered creamer, ½ teaspoon orange peel

Vienna Flavored Coffee

½ cup instant coffee, ¾ cup sugar, ½ cup powdered creamer, ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Mocha Flavored Coffee

½ cup instant coffee, ¾ cup sugar, ½ cup powdered creamer, 2 teaspoons cocoa

you could also add spices to the grinds

cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, etc

I will try the vanilla, since I love it!

I will add cinnamon to the grounds when brewing.
I've also added orange too. Just "shred" the orange peel and put in with the grounds. Smells really nice!
I went and bought a Keurig coffee maker.
I was wasting so much coffee, just making a pot for myself, that it wasn't cost effective for me to use the big pot with just me drinking it. I was wasting more than I was drinking. With the Keurig, I can make a single cup and there's no more waste. Hubby loves it too for his quick cup to work in the morning.

tlrnhi,
with our left over coffee i usually make iced coffee. let coffee cool and add some milk and sugar. We also sometimes just dump a can of star bucks or something similar to the container instead of milk...Hubby likes his ice coffee on the bitter side.

Great! The spiced coffee idea is very nice. I used to be real big on buying the flavored coffees, but I got kinda burned out on it. I think I will try some of these ideas, though.
The flavored creamers do work for me. I drink a lot of cream in my coffee..

I went through this phase of wanting the Keurig, but I eventually figured it would be less cost effective for me. Well, you can buy the little reusable cups to put your own coffee in, so that may work.
The lightning just recently ran in on my good maker, so I'm using my back-up maker (which I don't get along with).
Left over coffee? What? There's no coffee that goes to waste in this house.
