Well, since it tastes like chicken I will just pretend that I am eating Alligator while I am eating it!!! LOL

A couple years ago, when Ohio State played the Florida Gators for the football national championship, many of the Ohio grocery stores had alligator meat for sale. It was a very popular thing to serve in Ohio during that game, or at least for the first half of the game. By late in the second half, it was obvious that the Gators ate the Buckeyes, not the other way around.
That was the only time I ever saw alligator meat in Ohio. |
LOL, Id like to try it sometime! Reminds me of when my Grandpa told us coon was chicken, then AFTER we ate it, told us we at a cute litte racoon. Really DID taste like chicken though!

I love alligator meat.
When I still lived in FL, we would have a local Swampfest. Gator tail on a stick... Gosh, I miss home!!! :) |
Funny, my family was talking about eating 'gater last night! We wondered how it tasted! My husband said somewhere between chicken white meat and dark.

Thanks for the recipe. I have it available at many stores around here, but it just doesn't make it into my cart! :)

I hope I haven't offended anyone with my southern recipes...I was told they were pretty lame...
