I make this alot. You don't have to bake it either. Just heat up the chili and pile it all on your plate. Then its kind of like chili nachos. All crunchy yummy yummy yummy.

That sounds really good. I love all things Tex Mex and after all the turkey this would be a good change.

My mother in law told me that she got the recipe off of a can of Chili back in the late 50's. Ive been making it since 1988.

Tsk tsk tsk... but Yum! We make a version of this too, but use tortilla chips on the side of the dish and layer all the wet ingredients. Will have to try yours - thanks for sharing!

Here in Albuquerque, we call this recipe, "frito pie". White onions are used and we leave out the olives.
Usually it's served in a bowl or a large portion on a plate.
Just mix the ingredients and pour over the fritos. Yum!

I'm going to try your recipe cause it sound delicious with the green onions and olives. Thanks!

Sounds tasty. I'd definitely add guacamole or avocado. Makes me want a snack right now and it's almost midnight.

You can also cook 1 lb of ground beef, add taco seasoning packet and put in pie dish lined with crescent rolls, then crushed fritos, then the ground beef, cheese, more Frietos and bake for 20 minutes. People come back for 2nds and the receipe. Next time I'm making 2 lbs ground beef in a long pyrex pan. Just pinch the crescent rolls together and lay in the bottom and sides of the pan. Yummy!!!
