Really brings back the memories. As a teen I used to work in a drive-inn and as a car hop I had to make my own fountain stuff at the last moment because of the extreme heat. This, and the same made with Pepsi and other flavored drinks were very popular with Airmen from the nearby AF base and their dates.
Ice cream added to anything is delicious! Ground up dried lemon zest on top of everything was also popular.
