Have any of you looked at: www.thepioneerwoman.com webside? Be prepared to be on the site for a long time. She is a neat lady and has tons of great recipes.

She has a red potato dish that is amazing!

She has a cookbook that is wonderful! Also another book about how she met her husband. A sweet book! She also has wonderful prizes she gives away often! Next to this site, Pioneer Woman is my favorite site!

I too bookmarked the site. She has a recipe for making ice coffee that looks like a true winner. Will be spending some time with this site, love how she writes...

I thought the shrimp looked good but I think I'd use half butter and half olive oil.

I've got her cookbook, read her love story and I love her "smashed potatoes."

Both of my daughters love the Pioneer woman. Bought them each a cookbook and went to a book signing of hers. She autographed each one. They were thrilled. This year getting them her love story!

I've been a PW fan for several years, almost since she started and I've only ever found one thing wrong with her: she doesn't quilt. *sad face* Otherwise I would be at her site more than I already am.

For some additional recipes, be sure to check out the Tasty Kitchen section of her site which is reader-submitted recipes.

And remember to stock up on butter. It is the base ingredient of almost everything.

Try her "crash potatoes" - they are so good!!

Do you mean the ones you boil first and then flatten on a cookie sheet and dose with olive oil and bake? Love them.

time2quilt 07-18-2011 06:04 PM
