I bought some breakfast sausages and cooked them up on a tray in the oven. I now have some bacon going in the oven. I also bought a Polish Kielbasa cut it in thick slices and froze 5 or so slices per ziplock baggie. I put those in the freezer. I also picked up tiger Milk bars 30 cents a piece and cracker sandwiches 14 cents a piece.
I am thinking of trying to make calzones filled with ham and cheese. I am not sure how well they freeze. Or maybe even make pizza. He would eat it cold. |

Likewise you could do it with the peanut butter. (though for me, I can't even think of that combo!) |

My husband tells me his parents sent 4 - yes, 4 - sandwiches with him for lunch in high school! Maybe your son could double up on the burrito for lunch? My DH is 6'5" and slender at 69. He can literally eat anything and not gain weight.
Nuts are a great idea, too. Send celery (cut) and have him keep a small jar of peanut butter in his bag so he can dip and eat. |

My 23 year old son recently discovered Peanut butter and banana sandwiches. When I informed him this is not a new discovery and was a favorite of Elvis, he wondered, "Our cat Elvis liked peanut butter and banana?" "No not our Elvis, Elvis Presley." "Who's Elvis Presley?"
