Hot Cranberry Tea
This makes a great hot holiday punch. I got this recipe over 20 years ago and it’s a holiday tradition for our family. • 2 quarts water • ¾ cup orange juice • 2 cups pineapple juice • ¼ cup lemon juice • ¾ cup sugar • 2 quarts cranberry juice cocktail • 8 oz. cinnamon candies (“red hots”) • 4 tea bags In a large pan, heat everything except the teabags. Bring to a simmer and stir to ensure the cinnamon candy is melted. Add the teabags and simmer for at least 10 minutes. Remove the teabags and serve hot. You can put in a warm crockpot to keep hot for a longer period of time. Cinnamon candy canes can be substituted for the red hots if necessary. |
