I need Cuisinart HELP!

I am really having trouble getting my Cuisinart food processor top on and off smoothly. It sticks and I really struggle with with it each and every time I have to open it. What would seem like a small job turns out to be a much larger job with me all frustrasted and ready to throw the thing out the window. Does anyone else have this problem? Did anyone find a solution?

I have had my Cuisinart food processor for years and love it. Unless they have changed over the years the top will only go on/off one way. Turn the whole top counter clock wise to open and clock wise to close. Hope this helps.

I have one that is about 10 years old and it has never been easy to take the top on & off. I think it is designed that way so that you don't end up with a mess.

I agree with Barb in Louisiana. However, it still makes me nuts!

You might try checking their website, maybe some hints on there if it's a common problem.

I have a problem with mine if I don't make sure the back part is lined up to slide under the thingy, if you know what I mean. If it doesn't, I can't get the top off easily. I have to remember to do this or I am in a pile of misery.

Mine is also hard to open...it is old, but I won't get a new one for one reason...a part is broken that does not affect the operation but does allow me to look in the whole chute and see what is going on...of course I am careful of what I am processing before taking a peak...I do know everything has to be lined up to the nth degree to open.

I am happy I am not the only person having this problem and feel sorry for all who do.

I will try the Pam idea and see if that helps.

Does anyone have a Cuisinart-type (I guess you call it a food processor) that is easy to handle, with no difficulties putting on the top and works well? Let me know.

I have the large one, that has the smaller bowls inside(if that makes sense) button in handle to release and a straight up motion to remove and a click down to put on, really easy.
