Two of our family's favorites while watching football...
Bulldawg Brittle (Yes, I'm from Georgia!) 1 1/2 sleeves graham crackers 1 c chopped pecans 1/2 c margarine 1/2 c butter 1/2 c sugar Break graham crackers into halves. Place on foil-lined baking pan (about 10 x 15"), leaving space between crackers. Sprinkle pecans over top. Melt margarine and butter, add sugar, and bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 3 minutes. Spoon over graham crackers and pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Let stand until cool. Break into pieces. Will look "foamy" when taken from oven. Cinnamon-Sugar Pecans 1 egg white 1 TBS water Mix until frothy. Pour over 3 cups pecan halves and stir until coated. Place 1 c sugar, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp cinnamon in a ziplock bag. Add pecan halves. Shake to distribute sugar mixture over pecans. Bake 275 degrees for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. These are soooo good.... and so addictive! |
Sounds yummy.
