Good question about the cleaning of a glass top range. My stove (came with house) must be 30 years old (it has the wide elect. elements). I'm putting in a glass stove top. Does that mean I can't have kettle corn any more? There's another stove out in the pantry. I've only used it once. I may have to keep that one just for my corn....ha ha

I have a stir crazy popcorn popper and use it to make kettle corn. Only problem is that eventually the plastic top cracks from the heat. We've gone through several of these poppers. I tried contacting the company about the problem but they were less than helpful. Love kettle corn so I'll see if I can find your kind of popper.

Love it.

I've made this recipe a lot and everyone loves it! Quick to make, even quicker to eat.

They have the hand crank ones at The popcorn Factory in Shipshewana, but they are very expensive brand new. Craftybear, it sounds like something to keep looking for while you're shopping those antique stores or garage sales.

If I don't have kettle corn on hand, I microwave a bag of lite popcorn, put 1 T of soft butter over the popped corn , push it down into the middle of the hot popcorn and push it around with a spoon. Then I sprinkle 1 packet of Splenda in the bag. Shake well. Tastes great. I may have defeated the purpose of buying lite popcorn and then adding real butter, but I needed something to help the sweetner stick. If you melt the butter and then pour on, you get some of the popcorn too wet. When there's a will, there's a way. :-D

That sounds good. Is it too early for popcorn?
