I am looking for a recipe for crumpets that uses baking powder and not yeast. Has anyone made them? I get them sometimes in the store and just love them fried in butter and with jam.

I've never made them, but I'm sure interested in someone sending in a recipe! Yum!!

I just put butter on the hole-y side and cook in a fry pan til golden brown, then lightly on the other side, put jam on the hole-y side, enjoy!!
You can toast them in a toaster as well, I have a wood cook stove so am often making toast on that (fry pan)

I have always put them in the toaster and then buttered them. I will have to try frying them.
