Marshmallow help!!

I know this a really weird request but I also know that this is the place to get answers! I did go thru the Kraft board for an answer but it was a "non-answer"!!

I have a lot of Kraft's Extra Large Jumbo Marshmallows left over from summer picnics. I would like to make the crispy cereal candies for our Bazaar. I made them in the past using corn flakes and green food coloring and shaped them in to wreaths, adding red candies as berries.

But do you think I can figure out how many of these big boys it takes to make a batch? The package weight is 1 pound 12 ounces, and says approximately 31 servings per package. Kraft replied that so many regular marshamallows equal so many miniatures. But I'm asking about these Big Ones!!

Thanks for all help!!

I think the recipe i have calls for 4 cups of minis. Don't know if you could accurately measure the jumbo though!
Ok, went and checked the bag I have in the cupboard-regular sizemarshmallows-10oz. Your jumbo bag would equal 28 oz. Estimate 1/3of the bag??

The recipe that I have says:
1/4 C Margarine , 1 package (10.5 oz) marshmallows, 6 C. Rice Crispies. So if you just weigh your big marshmallows and use the amount that will equal 10.5 oz and go for it. I usually like to add a few extra marshmallows if I have them as it will just make this a little creamier and better.

My first response was going to be go with the weight. If you know how many it takes for one serving, then how many of the jumbo is one serving you may be able to count it out that way. Did Kraft make the jumbo? Here they were sold by the Campfire brand, so Kraft may not know.

try cuting them up into small pieces and measure cup amount.

I never use a recipe, just do it by sight. And the wreaths are yummy aren't they?

I have found the answer

It takes 4 regular marshmallows to make 1 giant marshmallow so the recipe I have you would need 40 regular or 10 giant marshmallows. I hope this help!
