1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup medium cracker crumbs 2 beaten eggs 1 8-ounce can (1 cup) seasoned tomato sauce 1/2 cup finely chopped green onion 2 Tablespoons chopped green pepper 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 medium bay leaf, crushed Dash thyme Dash marjoram Chili sauce Combine all ingredients except chili sauce: mix well. Shape mixture in a loaf in shallow baking dish. Score the loaf by pressing top with handle of wooden spoon. Fill the score marks with chili sauce. Bake in modeerate oven (350) 1 hour. Makes 6 to 8 servings. |

This sounds like a great recipe...Meat Loaf is my hubby's favorite. I use barbeque sauce to top mine. I like your variation. I think I'll try it! Thanks for sharing.
