This sounds like a good, fast easy recipe. Thanks
|
I use bread dough with this recipie.
Kids love it. |
If you want to 'lighten' up the recipe do not use the 'topping'. Just roll the dough and add to a greased pan. This is an excellent recipe for little hands. The kids are always so proud that they made it.

I love that recipe. I served it for my Satellite quilting group last month.
|
Does anyone know why this has it's name - monkey bread?
I haven't made it since my kids were little, monkeys, but it's very yummy to any species! |
Thanks for the recipe, I love Monkey Bread and lost my original recipe. I like this one as it isn't as much as the one I had. Mine used 4 tubes of biscuits.
|
Try adding chopped nuts or dates, just put in as you add bread in pan. We add pecans, sooooooooooooo good!!!
|
Sounds yummy..
|
OOOHHHH that sounds so yummy with pecans!!

I make these for our semiannual church rummage sale. Not to be sold, but for all us worker bees to munch on! Another lady brings breakfast casserole. This has become a tradition over the years.
|
i also use the same bisquits for donuts. i just take them out of the cat and cut a hole in them with a old clean medicine bottle. and deep fry them. then when cooled a bit i put them in the sugar mixture. easy way and cheep also. not for small kids to do but they can coat them when there done and you get the holes also. lol blessings to all

We make Monkey Bread every year on Christmas morning.
We make ours with white frozen bread dough, dip in melted butter then in cinnamon and sugar. Sometimes sprinkle in pecans. It was a tradition with my sons, now fun to watch the grandkids do it under the watchful eyes of their Dads. |
Thanks for the recipe, it sounds yummy!
|
you can also make it in the microwave, 7-9 minutes on Med Hi. We just had it yesterday morning, mmmmm
