stinker, it only takes 7-8 minutes for the syrup to reach 300° and that makes it well worth the extra stovetop time as to the 1 hour baking.

Thank you for a delicious sounding recipe.

I use the regular size bags of Orville extra-butter flavor and 3 makes the right amount for the syrup. Not every piece is covered fully but each one gets enough coating.

Thank you - I am sure we will all enjoy this treat!!!

I haven't tried it, but a friend makes her caramel corn with the purchased corn puffs & it's great.

I want to try with the popcorn puffs but trying to figure out the amount compared to 3 bags of microwave popcorn. Any one have an idea?

Sounds like a winner.

My bulk bags do not have the information as to servings per bag, I keep them in the freezer out of the original box. Check in the store on the Orville Butter flavor to see how many it contains per bag and then use that as your measure.
Hope that helps.

a regular caramel corn recipe will work so this should too. i have used it before cause i hate getting the hulls stuck!
