Pasta-Tuna Hotdish
Our grocery store ads have some pretty good recipes. Tuna was on sale this week, so I made this. DH liked it.
2 cups dry medium shell pasta 15 oz jar creamy Alfredo sauce 1 cup frozen peas (more is ok) 1 cup Cheddar & Monterey Jack cheese blend (shredded) 3 cans Chicken of the Sea tuna in water (drained & squeezed) Topping: 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs 1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan cheese 1 Tblsp. Chopped, dried parsley 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1 Tblsp. Butter, melted Heat oven 375 degrees. Spray or grease 2 quart rectangle baking dish. In large saucepan, cook pasta as package directs, drain, return pasta to pan, stir in peas, Alfredo sauce and cheese blend. Gently fold in tuna, transfer pasta mixture to baking dish. Combine topping, sprinkle over pasta mixture. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes then serve. I put it together day before so I stirred in about 1/4 cup half & half because pasta absorbs sauce and I didn’t add topping until it went into the oven. |
Sounds delish........thanks for sharing with us!

DH doesn't like tuna or peas but it sounds wonderful. I think I can use can chicken and fresh mushrooms in his and add extra peas to mine:thumbup:

This one is a keeper. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, that takes me back. My mom made tuna noodle casserole. DH is vegetarian so I don't make anything like this. I'd never eat all of it.
