I've been cooking a lot of lamb in the crock pot lately. Let it cook all day and it's yummy.

Had for dinner last night. Cooked 10 hrs on low setting. The onion soup mix made it saltier than I'd like, so next time will add a sliced onion instead.

How much root beer or soda do you use with one pkg of onion soup mix?
Thanks.

I have, I used onion soup, package of dry itialian dressing mix and a can of beer. It was very tender and good.
Going to try it with Sprite. Will let you know how that turns out.

I used about half of a quart bottle and it was way too salty; I wouldn't want any more root beer though as there was alot of liquid with 1/2 the bottle. I'll use sliced onions next time.
