Question about Ankarsrum brand stand mixer

I saw this mixer in the King Arthur flour catalog and like the looks of it, but have never seen one in person. Do any of you own one or have experience with that brand. For 40 years I used a vintage Sunbeam Mixmaster, and replaced it with another one a few yers ago, but am not happy with the replacement so am looking for another brand. I do not want a KitchenAid under any circumstances. Any info on the Ankarsrum would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about the Ankarsrum brand but I do know King Arthur stands behind all the products they sell. I have been a customer for a long time. I bought a large acrylic bowl and it cracked. KA replaced promptly replaced it.

I've never heard of around here. But, I've been looking for a new mixer too. All I want is a stand mixer and they are all these huge contraptions. I'll have to look them up and see what I've been missing!

I watch rose red homestead on you tube and she bought one and it seems she loves it.

Who makes Ankarsrum mixer?
Until 1962, the Assistent was produced at Lilla Essingen in Stockholm, when the production line was then moved to Motala. Since 1969, the Assistent has been produced in Ankarsrum when Electrolux acquired the metallurgy firm Ankarsrums bruk and moved the production line to there from Motala.
Not suire that matters to you. I looked at the photo, it looks lower profile than my KitchenAid which I LOVE. (the factory is in Greenville, Ohio)

here are some current reviews, https://www.foodandwine.com/lifestyl...t-stand-mixers
whatever you do, look for after holiday sales...

I snoop around on King Arthur's site occasionally and I've seen that mixer too. I've never heard of the brand, but I have to agree with OnebyOne; King Arthur has some great products and a wonderful reputation.

I looked hard at the Ankarsrum mixer too, when I was in the market for a new one.

At the time, I found this (fairly new) article interesting:
