Thanks! I used to make this for my kids. Takes a while to do but is so worth it.

I make a rainbow layered jello with regular jello and sour cream for the white layer. I use a 13 x 9 glass pan. 7 pkgs of 3 oz. jello (different flavors) and 1 pt of sour cream. First layer is jello and 1 cup of boiling water plus 2 tablespoons mix well then remove 1/3 cup of jello and set aside. Pour jello in pan and refrig for 30 mins. Next mix 1/3 cup of sour cream to the 1/3 cup of jello. Mix well with a fork. After 30 mins pour over jello in refrig and start the process again until you have used all of the pkgs of jello. My family loves this. I have made it for over 30 years and they still want it for all holidays. You are so right about bring it to a pot luck. It gets so much attention. I hope you and your family will enjoy this. It is not sweet.

That looks like it would be fun to eat but a bear to fix. I'm not that patientl.

I do it in two days. A little here and there. You do have to be patient but it is worth seeing everyone enjoy eating it. :)
