Recipes for Electric Pressure Cooker Instant Pot IP-DUO60 6-Quart

I have just ordered this pressure cooker and am wondering if others who have it or another brand could share some recipes for it. I have gotten a good many online, but there's nothing like a good tried and true recipe! Also, would love to hear any tips you may want to share!

Since this is so new, most recipes are posted on line. Mine is just 3 wks old,so no tried & true here.
There is a thread on here for a diff brand, you might check it out.

I make rabbit spaghetti in mine all the time. You can use meatballs, chicken or whatever suits your fancy in the sauce. I know rabbit isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Make your base sauce as you usually do. I then add chopped red bell peppers, mushrooms, red onion and chopped "fresh" plum tomatoes (about 6). Then the good part, up to a cup of Merlot or a deep Burgundy along with 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar (real sugar not Splenda or anything like that) Brown the rabbit add it to the cooker, seal it all up and cook on low pressure for about 1/2 hour or so. Tastes like you were simmering all day on the stove.

I cook cabbage rolls for about 20 minutes on low pressure.
Homemade beef chili the same way 20-30 minutes on low pressure.
Pork roast and sauerkraut for about 40 minutes on low pressure.

I inherited an older style electric pressure cooker but prefer to use my Fagor on the stove. I've noticed a few bloggers like BUDGET BYTES and STEAMY KITCHEN have recipes that use the Instant Pot. I like to cook healthy, veggie loaded foods.

Love my xl pressure cooker....porkchops cooked in frenchonion soups is spectalur! Comes out so tender.
Pot roast too....it falls apart. Just throw meat in and some carrots or whatnot and it's great! Taters tends to be little soggy in a way.

Kerry, I did the same thing. I ordered the same one and am looking forward to using it. I purchase a Kindle book, actually free for kindle" that is great. Most of the recipes are for 2 or 4 servings. So if you have a large family, I wouldn't recommend it. Amazon has it, it's called "The Healthy Pressure Cooker Cookbook" by Janet Zimmerman. She walks you thorough all the details. I just love the book and now want to order the hardcopy so I can have it on the counter when cooking. Good luck with you new toy. I will be watching this thread for other ideas from our group here.

I found that anything you cooked in a slow cooker you can cook in the pressure cooker in a fraction of the time.
