I was hungry so I just made this and put it in to bake. I had some fresh peaches I needed to use up so used those instead. I never buy cannned pie filling so that is another reason. We have some vanilla ice cream left to put on top for ala mode. Oh yummy. I'll let you know in an hour.

I'm embarassed to say that I overcooked it. The bottom was nice and brown but CHEWY! I ate it, but DH sneaked his piece to the chickens!!! DD said not to make it again. Of course I won't listen and after school tom. I will finish using the last of the fresh peaches and make another but instead of continuing to quilt when the buzzer goes off...

I made this for my quilting group this Thursday and I barely had enough left for DH to have a bite.
It's a keeper!!

THis is so good and so easy. You can use Canned peach Pie,apple pie or any already prepared canned pie fruit for this cobbler.
I usually have to make a big one to please everyone. The crust rises up and covers the top except for the center, butter kinda pools there. YUMMMY

I also use this for Berries, I grow my own Blackberries. Just add water to fruit, heat Mix Sugar and cornstarch together, stir in berries, thicken and sweeten to your choice and follow the recipe above...

Preheat oven 350 degrees
You will need a 2 1/2 quart or larger baking dish.

2 cans of prepared and ready to use fruit pie mix.
2 cups of self rising flour
1 cup sugar or to your taste.
Milk
1 stick butter, real unsalted butter is best, you can use margarine.

Melt butter in baking dish
Mix flour & sugar together, then add just enough milk to make it the consistancy of thick pancake batter.
Pour batter on top of butter that you melted in baking dish.
Pour fruit pie mix on top of batter.
Bake in oven on 350 degrees for 45min. to one hour or until crust is golden brown sometimes the top is golden brown and right underneath seems a little doughy,Just put a piece of foil on top I do this as a rule just to make sure everything is done. The last 30 min. of baking
I never have any left. I give this recipe to all the young women. That enter into the family. They take it to family gatherings and chruch dinners. Family and friends think they are Chefs.
