Snowman soup

I found this recipe in one of my old emails that I kept in recipie folder, I seen and thought you ladies would love to try
it, and get a kick out of it.

for each person you will need;
1 snack size ziplock bag
1 regular size candy cane
a handful of miniture marshmallows
1 packet of hot chocolate

Place candy cane , a packet of hot chocolate, and a handful of marshmallows in each ziplock bag/
include a copy of the following poem or make up one

"Was told you've been real good this year.
Always good to hear!
With freezing weather drawing near, you'll need to warm the spirit.
So here's a little Snowman Soup complete with stirring stick,
Add hot water, sip it slow,
it's sure to do the trick

Besides the traditional peppermint candy canes, try the gourmet candy canes in cinnamon and fruit flavors. another treat, add some mini chocolate chips to this.

oh and by the way... use a small jar for the ingredients and use as a Christmas gift from your kitchen.( instead of ziplock bag.

Oh, what a great idea. On my way to the kitchen to make some.

Thanks

It's funny that I am reading this morning...I just made 30 of these last night...I always put the ingredients in a ziplock bag, then put that in a Dollar Store microwaveable mug, and then the whole gift in a cellophane treat bag...I always include a mug rug to go with the Snowman soup and Snowman mug...everyone loves them!!! When I taught, I made this up for each one of my students for their Christmas present. I bought Christmas mugs at the $1 store and made up the kit. They always loved it!

This is a great idea and love all the additional "packing" hints. Can't wait to do this!
