one of the girls at work brought a lovely dessert she called Swedish apple pie. She made it in a 9x13 pan... this is the recipe she gave me.Cover bottom of pan with Granny Smith apples, sprinkle with 1T cinnamon and 2T sugar, Mix 1 1/2 sticks of butter (3/4 cup) , 1 egg, 1 cup flour ,and 1 cup of sugar... Pour on top, bake 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.

hope you enjoy too. Quilter 1234

My grandmother had a similar recipe but she put it in a round pie pan. But I think I'll try this one since I lost my grandma's recipe! Thank you.

That's easy and sounds so good.

I make something very similar but use apple pie filling from a can. Have also used blueberry or cherry filling. And bake in a round pan. But the dough sounds similar.

I made this today as my family was coming for dinner. It was very delicious. I found that 4 large Granny Smith apples covered the bottom of the pan. I would recommend spraying the pan with cooking spray or lightly greasing it as it was difficult to get out of the pan. It made a nice crunchy crust with tender apples underneath.
