Tea drinkers

THIS IS MY FAVORITE TEA RECIPE:

ORANGE SPICE TANG TEA
Things You'll Need:
 • 1 1/3 cup of TANG instant breakfast drink
 • 1/2 cup of sugar (or Splenda)
 • 1/2 cup of instant tea, such as Nestle (unsweetened, and without lemon)
 • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
 • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
Mix the TANG instant breakfast drink (dry), the sugar, the instanttea, the ground cinnamon and the ground cloves in a large bowl.
Stir to blend the ingredients well. A large whisk works well forthis.
Pour the well-blended spiced tea mix in an airtight container, such as a large jar with a tight-fitting lid. If you do not store this in anairtight container, the mix will absorb moisture from the air and change theconsistency and freshness of the product.
Make one serving of orange spice tea by placing one well-roundedteaspoon of spiced tea mix in a teacup. Fill the cup with boiling water andstir the hot tea until the mix is dissolved. For a mug, use one heapingtablespoon of spiced tea mix.
OR - Serve your orangespice tea in a teapot by putting 1/2 cup of spiced tea mix in a teapot andadding one quart of boiling water. Stir until all of the mix is dissolved

Great recipe! I usually make this every winter. We love it.

this is a great recipe. When my son got married for the shower I made coffee, tea, and cocoa mixes in a jar as a gift for each of our guests. This was one the the recipes I used. Everyone loved it.

I add a cup of powered lemonade to mine. Yummy!

Wow, that sounds yummy. I love tea and Tang but I haven't seen Tang around here for a long time. Maybe I need to look around a little harder.
Yum :)

This is so delicious. Grammie, what recipes did you enclose in a jar. Sounds good. NDQuilts, I never tried lemonade, I will next time :)

I use Nestle's instant tea with lemon and sugar.

butterjoy 11-25-2011 06:24 AM

That is good annette, some of the nestle's do have lemon in it :)

Goatmom 11-26-2011 05:16 AM

I make this but I add a package of lemonade kool-aid to it, the package that you add your own sugar to.

Thanks for reminding me about this.
