Potatoes ... I;d be adding some onions to those! :) and/or some pre-cooked bacon (are there ever any leftovers?)( Those packets are a good way to use leftover potatoes from previous meals! Lemon slices with the fish is really nice ... and for me, more onion slices too! :) And now you have me drooling ... ane green with envy! |

You can now buy no-stick aluminum foil - the best thing for these. Also, if you wrap your food in foil, then a layer of wet newspaper, and another layer of foil, they will be protected enough to just throw into the fire. The wetness of the paper provides some inner steaminess and when it's dry, the food is done.

We HAVE done these too. I learned how to make them back in Girl Scouts and we called them "Hobo dinners".
We make them every year while we are up camping. LOVE IT... |
I remember doing the packets when I was camping many moons ago! But now my grandkids love doing it on their own when they camp! Love'n the memories! Thanks!
