I made a Turkey over the weekend and made this soup that turned out soooo good. Thought I'd share the recipe
Cook 1 box Wild Rice as directed on box. (I used Uncle Bens) As that is cooking Saute in butter 1 onion 2 celery ribs 2 carrots After its tender start stirring in a 1/2 cup flour gradually add 2 cans of chicken broth then boil 1 minute then reduce heat. When rice is done add it to that mixture then add 1 quart of half n half and 2 cups turkey or however much turkey you want to add. Stir in 1 teaspoon Parsley and 1 teaspoon salt and pepper. Let cook for about 5 minutes then its done. Enjoy |
That sounds good and easy.
I would have to wait until after thanksgiving to try this. |
