Update on Toaster Oven

Recently I posted a question about how y'all used your toaster oven (if you have one). Well, today I thought I'd just give you a short update on mine. We purchased it mainly to re-heat pizza as my DH does not like soggy pizza & the microwave makes all bread soggy. I didn't want to fire up the big oven for just one or two pieces of left over pizza all the time so we decided to buy a T/O & see if that worked for us. Well, it works fine & now I've slowly been testing it out on other things. I made up some choc. chip cookie dough last week & am now making cookies in the T/O (6 at a time is perfect for me & DH).
I've also discovered that I can butter my bread before making toast & make my delicious cinnamon toast in the mornings.
The T/O makes a great grilled cheese sandwich.
Yesterday we were almost out of croutons & we love those in our salads. So, I got online & found a recipe for croutons in a T/O & they were delicious!
I will discover more & more as I go along but so far I am loving that little toaster/oven. I'm beginning to feel like the American Test Kitchen. https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/biggrin.png I like the fact that it has instant on heat & does not require any pre-heating.
Here's the one we bought:

Great update! I love mine. We use it all the time for toasting and baking.

I used to go thru toasters yearly though I don't make toast often so decided to go with a toaster oven instead. I still used it only to toast bread though, never got gutzy enough to try other things though I'm single. Now I'm moving up in the world and got an 8 in 1 air fryer that toasts, broils, bakes, fries and other things. My toaster oven will go to a thrift shop as its still in great shape. Haven't got to try the air fryer yet as my kitchen has been in remodel mode for the past 7 months, shortly coming to a finish within days. Reason for such a long period of time is due to shortage of materials for the project. Was also having a sunroom built onto it too. Now just found out my storm door will be 8 weeks before I get it but everything else will be done by this week.

When its hot in the summer it throws a lot less heat than the big oven too.

I got the Ninja flip which has all the features. I dumped the toaster. Use most of the settings. It works great. Pizza on air fry setting heats up
crisp and fast. Takes up minimal counter space when not in use

In the summer when it's hot outside, I set up an outdoor 'camp' kitchen. I carry my instant pots and toaster ovens outside and plug them in when I need to heat/cook something. Then the kitchen doesn't heat up the house!

That looks like a really good one. It’s well worth paying a bit more than wasting money on one of the cheaper smaller ovens. Im still learning about the things I can do with mine. Pinterest has tons of good ideas and helps,

Well, la-te-dah! What a cute little T/O. It looks like a little robot waiting to waken and walk around. Watching to much "Wall-e" with my grandson, I guess. Glad you are finding so many little things to do with this small appliance. I use mine more than my microwave oven.

Nice! It looks like a great T/O. My mother gave me her old one but it takes sooooo long to heat up it frustrates me so i really don't use it. I looked at the description from your link and I think I would use this one.

Question. How long does it take to make toast? Say, comparable to a regular toaster?
