(I like black berries best!!!)

⅔ cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup milk
½ tsp vanilla
1 tbsp oil

Spread the batter in a buttered 10X6X2 pan
Scatter 1 cup berries (small fruit) over batter
Sprinkle ½ cup sugar over fruit
Pour ¾ cup boiling water over all
Bake 375º for 25 minutes (check for doneness)
Best served warm though cold's not bad!!

Oh, they make the absolute best cobblers! And blackberry season is upon us sooner than we think! Enjoy!

I to make a Fruit Cobber as follow:
1-stick butter "melted" in a 9&13 pan
1-Cup of SelfRising Flour
1-Cup Sugar
1-Cup Milk
1-Can Fruit Filling any flavor
Stir this all together pour half of mixture into buttered pan Add 1-Can of Blackberry Pie Filling or any other Fruit Filling you like like Cherry,Pineapple,Peach,Apple etc. That's sold in the can in your baking isle in the grocery store.
I add a couple teaspoons of sugar to some of the fruits like the cherry cause it's a little tart.
Then pour the other half of the batter over the top of fruit and Bake at 375* for 30 mins.Check for doneness :)
