I made up the best soup for dinner tonight. I put some left-over shredded chicken in a pot with a little garlic, shredded carrots, a little spinach, some cheese tortellini, chicken broth and milk. Thickened it slightly with flour and seasoned with oregano. Yum.

Sounds good!~ I am making a corn and new potato chowder for dinner and at the very end, adding some crab. :)
It's that time of year where we literally eat soups several times per week. Love it!~ Put it on and it's done! Don't have to stop what I"m doing and fix hubby dinner, it's right there. Usually make some corn bread, biscuits or bread too. maybe a salad sometimes, but not always.
I just think one pot meals are the way to go!

Just sampling my soup! Apple - bacon - cheese soup! New recipe from the paper ... of course I didn't have any cider, so added cauliflower, broccoli, peppers, zucchini . Recipe here: http://www.lfpress.com/life/eat/2011.../18903396.html
