Just got a new ice cream machine. There are so many recipes out there, I would appreciate anyone sharing their favorite recipe. I did make the cooked custard recipe last night. Will freeze today. Thanks

We prefer the uncooked and since we aren't supposed to eat raw eggs I use the 'fake eggs', like Egg Beaters. We use the equivalent of 6 eggs, 1 1/2 cup sugar (more or less, whatever your sweet tooth calls for), 1/2 pint heavy whipping cream, 1/2 pint regular whipping cream and milk to fill the freezer to 'the line'. A couple of teaspoons of vanilla and that is it. I think our freezer is 1/2 gallon but DH put it away somewhere and I can't find it to be sure. You can add whatever fruit, flavorings, etc to this but we always like just the plain vanilla the best.
What time will this be ready and how do I get to your house?
