    Default Total failure

I just did the Betty Crocker angel food cake that you put the can of crushed pineapple in. Went to suspend it and the top fell off. Inverted it anyway and it plopped out onto the plate. I guess I will pick some thing up at the grocery store tomorrow.

I don't think you should suspend it with the pineapple in it. I make mine in a 9X13 pan. Only do that with plain angelfood cake.

I saw it in the angel food pan with the pineapple in the recipe I tried but I certainly will do it in the 9X13 next time. Live and learn.

If you can eat it, it's not a total failure! Throw some whipped cream on it and pretend you wanted to make it that way.

Maybe add some shredded coconut and slivered almonds?

Either way, it sounds like it will be delicious!

I agree...if it's edible just eat it. I was taking a cake for my employer's birthday one morning & a man ran a red light & I had to hit my brakes really hard & the cake flew off the car seat. Fortunately it was in a container that it stayed in but the looks of it was a disaster. When I got to work I just dumped it in a large bowl, stirred/cut it all up & mixed the pudding/topping in with it & we all gobbled it up with no worries.

Whipped cream covers a multitude of sins. Slather it on and call it good.
