Default pudding in microwave

if you are making pudding just use the microwave and if things get thick use a wire whisk to smooth the pudding out. works great, no double boiler and cooks really fast.

How about a sponge cake. When my mom would make an angel food cake, she would also make the sponge cake with the egg yolks. I liked the sponge cake better than the angelfood cake.

It does look yummy but I think you suggestion of a mix is a good idea. No sense in reinventing the wheel and the mixes of today a quite good.
In the old days when I did an Angel Food cake from scratch, I used the 12 yolks is what I called my Heart Attack cake. Took a recipe for Hot Milk Sponge cake and replaced the 6 whole eggs with the 12 yolks and it was great. . . but I do think I would go with the mix. I would guess it's just as good and I know it's a lot healthier.

Both of those use whites ... which is what she has planned.
She's looking for something to do with the YOLKS!

My SIL made chocolate pudding cake when we visited earlier this month in Indiana. She melted chocolate squares, beat 6 egg yolkes really well, and poured the choc. in with the egg yolks, continuing to beat them. Added vanilla.
I really hope this works. It is a wonderful flourless chocolate cake. Oops, I just read that you used the egg whites, too! I didn't remember that. Well, it is still a great cake.
