Sizes

What are the average sizes for quilts? I tend to make mine "throw" size about 50" x 60". My husband thinks they are to small. Any ideas?:)

Thanks for the advice. I will try any suggestions. I used a product called "Vintage Textile Soak" to remove some rust spots from pins that were left in the blocks. That got out the rust spots...
