    The info that came with my Tin Lizzie says it is almost impossible to have a perfectly balanced stitch and they recommend using same color top & bobbin. Even professional quilters have this problem...

    I've heard many good things about Glide thread and it is much cheaper than Superior, but I haven't had a chance to order any yet.

    I love auriful for piecing, but it's quite pricey.

    I agree-I probably have the same TL as you. Just bought it used this year. Anyone with a LA has to get used to tinkering with things, unlike a domestic machine. But that's a small thing to overcome....
