Does anyone know how to soften stiff backing fabric. I ordered some from Marshall Dry Goods and it is really stiff. Tried washing it twice with fabric softener but it didn't help much

I agree with the others. Next time someone wants a quilt done, have them buy fabric for top, backing and batting and then quote a price for your labor.

Probably Martelli. They have them in several sizes and will make custom for you if you want. Work great and don't slip. If you use their rotary cutter they will cut 10-12 layers
