Portable, needle down, and good variaty of stitch selection, are must to but should be standard for new machines :)..
I live in central Arkansas (Cabot) if anyone knows a good dealer in this area.

Thanks, I cut the 6" border 8" and had a girl with an embrodery machine to put the name on it. Then I cut it to 6 inches and added it to the quilt.
