Yeah I wouldn't be so quick to say I won't go back in there, but there is another repair shop in the next town over and they are much nicer in there. They work on treadles too.

Awesome, thank you all so much. I got it all threaded and tried it out...perfect tension. The only thing I need to do now is clean the uptake arm really well. My white thread was turning brown. Eww.

I like the look of unwashed cotton once it is washed in the quilt. Will the poly not shrink and will the cotton even shrink if the water is not hot? I did the burn test and it is most definitely poly.
