If you are having to ease in the to top to the border, then it is better to have the top underneath, next to the feed dogs so they help with the easing - I learnt that from dressmaking & tailoring...

Bonnie Hunter's Weed Whacker quilt

Here is my version of Bonnie Hunter's Weed Whacker pattern.

Just for the record each pair of strips is 3/8" wide, and the whole thing is 8 3/4" square(ish) Think I could get to enjoy miniature...
