Problem solved before it became an even bigger...
Problem solved before it became an even bigger problem. I guess the lesson here is "if it is broke, but it has been working for umpteen years, then just leave it alone."

I still have my 1st electric machine, a 1954 Singer FW 221. It doesn't look as lovely as some of the posted machines. Mom and I supported our family with a treadle 99, the little 221 and 2 Singer...
