Thanks for such quick replies. I wondered about just using a flannel backing, but didn't seem like enough. I guess warm and natural, lightly quilted is the way to go.

If you have one of the larger rulers (like 24") you might fing that there is a 90 degree marking on it that you could use for the one requiring it. I'll see if I can find any other pattern ideas....
