Hubby has that problem with fabric shops, candle shops and bath and body works. It means I get to go inside by myself and he is not there to hear the total bill. LOL

You will find there are several brands of fusible fleece. You might want to order a sample first if purchasing online. Pellon fusible fleece is OK but I like marathon fusible fleece as it drapes...

I don't wear scent, but use a lotion that is scented. I get them from Bath and Body works. But, then I forget to put the lotion on quite often so it must not be that important to me. LOL

I would just use a piece of thick fabric like denim or sailcloth
If you use something that is too hard, it might tear or weaken the fabric around the edges of it.
