    Hi,

    Have you thought to check your 1/4" seam allowance - sometimes if you are using a 1/4" foot the seam allowance can still be out - you may have to move your needle position to correct this.

    I would applique your blocks first, then trim them back to size.add to your borders then attach to the quilt.

    I have been told by my machine mechanic not to use the walking foot for general sewing - it was designed to use with multiple thick layers. It could damage the feed dogs if using for general sewing....
