If the inner sashing is cream the outer would be burgundy. If the inner is burgundy I might look for a blue for the outer - or maybe cream on the outer if the inner is burgundy.

I found that the corners lay nicer if I use a bias cut binding. The only time I'll willing use anything cut on the bias but it made a world of different in how each of the points lay.
