I have Carbona Stain Devil #1 (acetone-based remover for nail polish and adhesive). But the instructions call for soaking the fabric and then rinsing it. I am scared to soak the quilt top with water...

I have not ironed the tape at all. I am not sure why I has stuck so badly to many of the squares. The adhesive does not show through, but I fear that it will make the sandwich impossible to quilt...
