Ruffled stitching

When sewing strips together they seem to be ruffling. Any idea why this is happening? If I slide the stitching to straighten it out then I lose stitches on the end of the strip set.

Maybe make something where each shirt is in a row - so it can be added to every year? Looks like it's an annual event. Just a thought - not sure how practical of one, but a thought nonetheless. lol

I tried that and was truly surprised that the feed dogs didn't tear up the business card. It's still a little tight though. Maybe Santa will be bring me a new sewing machine for Christmas! lol

I guess I just need to practice more - the issue is when I get to the end of what I'm sewing - my stitching kind of drifts off to the side making the end of the seam less than 1/4".

Walking Foot usage

Do any of you use the walking foot for piecing? Does it give you a better 1/4" seam? I seem to have issues when I get to the end of my block and am wondering if the walking foot would help.
