Ruffled stitching
When sewing strips together they seem to be ruffling. Any idea why this is happening? If I slide the stitching to straighten it out then I lose stitches on the end of the strip set.

Maybe make something where each shirt is in a row - so it can be added to every year? Looks like it's an annual event. Just a thought - not sure how practical of one, but a thought nonetheless. lol

Oooh - you just gave me an idea. I still have all of my scarves from my "bald" days, if I sewed those to white fabric (to stabilize them), then I could make a quilt from them. I'm a survivor and...

Lessons learned
Had a real moment today - but learned two things.
#1 - When making a double border around a quilt top - add one border at a time. I thought it would be easier to sew both my borders together,...

I really, really want to try out the ruler foot I bought. I put it on my machine (old machine) but there isn't a way to lower the feed dogs. To do FMP there is a little plastic piece that slips...

I guess I just need to practice more - the issue is when I get to the end of what I'm sewing - my stitching kind of drifts off to the side making the end of the seam less than 1/4".
