I will give this a try on a bigger sample piece...

I will give this a try on a bigger sample piece that I have spray basted too. When I pulled out the stitches from the failed stitches, it has left holes in my border fabric.

My stitch length only goes down to 1.0 the next is 0.0. Is that small enough to do what you suggest sewingpup? Also what do you mean by each stitch being ahead of the next.

Can't say enough about how adorable this quilt is. You attention to detail ... I could look at the cows and scenery and know immediately that it is a scene form Singing in the Rain. Love it!!!!
