what about microwave bowl holders? if they are like my kids, they love eating at the computer or tv and those are perfect for holding their hot food.

Can i ask what color you used for the quilting? the dark brown triangles don't have quilting in them correct? trying to learn about what color to use to blend the quilting into the piece and you did...
