I am a longarm quilter and offered a basting service for my clients. I used to baste a queen quilt for 35.00.
Perhaps, you could ask your local longarm quilter if they offer such a service....

What color is the quilt fabric? Many times a light batting will beard through to bright or especially dark colors.
Just a suggestion. Keep the batting color close to the fabric color as you can.

Be sure you are placing the bobbin in correctly, it should trun clockwise with the thread spinning clockwise.
May also have to have the machine timed. This would correct threads not catching.
