Count me in too. I have several patriotic "Pigs" (projects in grocery sacks) and this inspires me to get one or more of them done by July 1st. Should be fun!

The problem with selvedges is the difference in density that causes puckering if left in your seams when piecing a quilt. In the patterns that are made using the selvedges you don't have that...

Yes, warm & natural is a little too dense for hand quilting. I love Quilter's Dream Request for hand quilting as my first choice, second choice would be Hobbs Heirloom. Hope this helps?
