I bought and used the Fiskars for one quilting project and it was severely cut up and worn out. Now I bought the Olfa, also at Joann's with a coupon. Much better!!

Another thing that helped me was putting a net...

Another thing that helped me was putting a net over the spool of thread I was using on the top (the monofiliment poly) and using a thread stand. It gave the top thread more time to unwind.
